Hi, My name is Jenny Pavilonis and I love teaching at Divine Providence School. The students, staff, and parents are so supportive. I'm looking forward to another productive year. This year my theme is Dream Big, Sparkle More, and Shine Bright. Every month the students will compete in social emotional learning activities.
I have a lot of experience teaching middle school science classes, coordinating the Illinois Junior Academy of Science Fairs, and the passion to inspire adolescents to enjoy learning. I have taught a variety of science classes at the College of DuPage in their summer camp programs. I want our students to continue learning and be prepared for the next generation. Students need to improve their science skills with inquiry, logical reasoning, and investigations. At DP we use the HMH-Science series which has improved our test scores and engaged student's in fun activities from 6th-8th grades. In 3rd-5th grades we have a brand new science/STEM program called HMH Science Dimensions. Every quarter the middle school students will be engaged in a Science Olympiad project.
One of my favorite quotes from Aristotle is "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all." My motto is to teach my students at Divine Providence with my heart and desire to love science.
WELCOME TO 7th GRADE !
